Big Pine - Fishing The eastern Sierra is know for its great trout fishing. If you travel west Crocker Street you will follow Big Pine Creek into the mountains. Big Pine Creek boasts some of the best trout fishing in the Eastern Sierra. With numerous mountain fed streams, providing an environment for some great Rainbow, Brown, Brook and Golden trout.

The eastern Sierra is renowned for its trout fishing, Whether it's the challenge of the catch-and-release wild trout section of the Owens River or casting your line into a sparkling lake, the chance of catching a big one is always there.

Most of the lakes and streams in the area are stocked both by the California Department of Fish and Game. The trout season in the eastern High Sierra runs from the last Saturday in April to November 15th.
